Assistant Professor - Health Promotion
Position: This position is a nine-month, tenure track appointment beginning Fall, 2001. Summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding.
Rank and Salary: Assistant Professor. Salary competitive, commensurate with rank, experience, and background.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: (1) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Promotion and Health/Exercise Psychology; (2) Supervise student teachers and interns; (3) Conduct research and publish findings in refereed journals; direct student theses and research; (4) Seek external funding; and (5) Participate in departmental, college, and university-wide committees.
Academic and Professional Qualifications: An earned doctorate (PhD, EdD, DrPH) is required in Health Promotion, Health/Exercise Psychology, or related field. Candidate must demonstrate a research record or potential to establish a research agenda in Health Promotion or Health/Exercise Psychology. Candidates with a record or potential for securing external funding to support research projects, successful teaching experience in Health Promotion or Health/Exercise Psychology, supervision of student teachers and student interns, and C.H.E.S. certification are preferred.

Post Doctoral Fellowship and Research Associate Position
Post Doctoral Fellow position and Research Associate position in K-State Research and Extension Office of Community Health. Both full time, 12-month term positions beginning as early as January 15, 2001 will involve assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of a youth community health promotion model in Kansas schools and communities. Must have demonstrated knowledge of theories, methods, and customary practices of public health. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in social marketing techniques and technology. Qualified candidates for Post Doctoral Fellow position should have Ph.D. degree in health-related field with emphasis in behavioral science. Qualified candidates for Research Associate position should have M.S. degree in health-related field with emphasis in behavioral science. Ohio State University Postdoctoral Fellowship
Position Announcement: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Counseling & Applied Sport Psychology
The Ohio State University Sports Medicine Center and Athletic Department is pleased to offer this unique one-year postdoctoral position beginning August 1, 2001, pending budget approval.
Emphasis will be placed on experiences with applied sport psychology, counseling of student-athlete issues, and consultation with coaches and medical staff. The fellow will work under the supervision of the Psychologist for Athletics at a large NCAA Division I athletic department with 35 teams and over 900 student-athletes. This position may involve a .25 FTE appointment at OSU Counseling and Consultation Services.
Applicants must have a Ph.D./Psy.D. in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship. Arizona School of Professional Psychology seeks a full-time director of the program in Sport/Exercise Psychology, beginning September 2001.
Successful applicants for the position must have a Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D. from an APA-accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program, or closely related field, be licensed or license-eligible in Arizona, and have leadership potential to direct and help develop the program and be able to model the practitioner-scholar emphasis of the School. Duties include oversight of the MA Program in Sport/Exercise Psychology, the doctoral concentration in the Psy.D. program in Clinical Psychology and the post-doctoral respecialization program, as well as teaching, advising and supervising students, and contributing to scholarship in the profession.
Rank will be at the associate or full professor level.
Successful candidates will be able to make a broad contribution to the curriculum of the program, have a background of successful practitioner and graduate teaching experiences, and have made scholarly contributions to the field.
